As a huge TERRIFIER fan, it was only a matter of time before I started to make Art-inspired art.
I have many little items painted like Art - a baby Barbie doll and a toy octopus come immediately to mind - but I didn't have a big TERRIFIER-inspired doll until Vicky.
Victoria Heyes is one of my favorite TERRIFIER characters. She's a smart ass who is trying to make it through college but always has time for her younger sister, who we thought would be the final girl. When we learn she survived what Art did to her in the first movie, it's bittersweet: he messes her up big time.
I had an old SofTina doll (I think she's from the '70s, but don't quote me on that.) that I found at a flea market that I had wanted to use for a project for several years, but it was only when I wanted a Vicky doll that I finally knew what she would become.
Since she would end up with one eye closed anyway, she seemed like the perfect base for my little TERRIFIER project.
I was proud of how well this not-so-great clay was at making the craggy surface I needed for her face.
This was HARD to do. I wouldn't recommend it to the faint of heart.
The Vicky from TERRIFIER 3 has been in a putrid bathtub partially filled with bloody water for five years. Her skin is ragged, sunken, and discolored. This was kinda fun to try to color match.
Between being the living Victoria Heyes from TERRIFIER and the undead Vicky from TERRIFIER 3, her normal human fingernails get big, gnarly, and creepy.
SEVERAL layers of paint. So many.
The crown of thorns I made from an Easter tutorial for kids I found online. The rat used to be a cat toy, but once I modded the tail to hang from her arm and gave it a nasty makeover, it was perfect. More paint. The dress and tights I made from my children's old clothes and a couple of toy balls. And honestly? I'm SUPER happy with how she turned out.
